  1. What a beautiful elegant dress, I love the colour as well as the design. Mental image of a bunny tail on the back…

  2. You looked gorgeous. I'm not a girly girl either so feeling comfortable in very feminine clothes needs to be a priority. I bought my wedding dress at Jaques Vert off the peg lacy dress for Β£120, love it. The thought of going bridal dress shopping and the prices…so not me. I get to wear the dress again too as it would do for a posh do.

  3. What a lovely dress! I too will be 60 next year….. it's fun isn't it! πŸ™‚ You obviously had a lovely day and I can tell by the little giggles that you had a lovely time! I hope you're feeling much better now…..

  4. Loved this Valerie, those shoes are lovely as is the dress of course. What a silly bridal shop, we have one near me and they must have gone to the same charm school or not! Β£150 is a excellent too, just, goes to show that shopping around pays off.

  5. Yay!!!πŸ™ŒπŸ‘ Wedding ensemble beautiful! You quite evidently had a lovely, happy day and you looked so pretty. And the gentlemen quite handsome. Your bridesmaid's tiara was stunning, I must say. Congratulations again and thanks for the usual delightful video!πŸ˜†

  6. Good for you, we did the same thing kept things under Β£200 for the whole wedding lot, we piled in the pub after the formal but then had an amazing holiday in the Maldives. You looked lovely hun, just goes to show you don't need to spend a fortune to have a great day xxx congratulations again xxx

  7. I smiled many times during this video. I love that you were able to find an outfit and accessories that pleased you and complimented you so well and that you were able to do so thriftily! Everyone looked great, and the bolt cutters will come in handy as well!

  8. Thank you so much for sharing. You and Dave make a lovely couple and I love your bridesmade's tiara. You all look like you had a wonderful day. I'm happy for you. Must mention that I really love your shoes. I too have "shrek feet", your description not mine….lol. Shoe shopping has to be my least favorite thing to do. Can't wait for your next video, because they always make me smile!

  9. I love that you did this well on a budget! Those shoes are great, I'd wear them every day in the warmer weather. And, hey, bolt cutters are an awesome tool to have around the house… just in case.

Btw, 5 seconds is probably the default time for stills in your editing software. In mine I can hover my mouse over the edge of the still on the timeline and drag it to make it longer or shorter. Also, if you look for something like "Pan & Zoom" in your software you can do that "Ken Burns" effect, where the viewer is getting closer or further from the still.

  10. You looked radiant and beautiful! Your dress was gorgeous on you! How wonderful you could keep the expense of your ensemble so low!! I applaud you! CONGRATULATIONS!❀

  11. lmao, you are so funny. I wish you lived next door to me, we would have fun. I don't know how much a pound is. I do know when I order stuff from England, things cost more in dollars. Beautiful outfit. You did a great job and btw, I love sketchers!

  12. You looked so beautiful, Val!! And it looks like you had fun, too! I must admit that I am so jealous that you snagged a ginger….I love me some red-headed boys 😜

  13. Super funny! Mr Unruly Housewife is real tall. I super love you shoes and your bolt cutters! smiles Thanks so much for sharing.

  20. You was a beautiful bride and everything was beautiful!! Congratulations to you both πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

  21. Great video. Love the dress as well as your sense of humour. You looked like a goddess. I don't get those that spend insane amounts of money on their weddings, I suppose they are only doing it to impress others. Kind of silly I think. Being happy is the important thing.

  22. awww congratulations!!!!!! i love your dress. love that color. lol "it has arm holes" i love that he actually wore a tiara! looking like you are going to the playboy mansion isnt so bad for a wedding day! the shoes matched perfectly! you did so well on a budget!

  23. Beautiful dress! Thanks for sharing. Feel free to share more pictures :o) Love your laughter Valerie! Hope you two are feeling better from those colds.

  24. Just lovely, I did half expect you to carry your wedding bolt cutters in a chiffon bandoleer in case of an emergency. Best wishes!

  25. Lovely bride. Dapper groom. Adorable bridesmaid (love his tiara). The day seemed full of joy and happiness, as it should be. Best wishes to the charming couple. (I was particularly amused by how you tossed items aside – bolt cutters included. Such an appropriate Val-ism behavior.)

  26. Awww…. y'all make a beautiful couple!!!! I'm amazed at how little you paid for your beautiful dress. You did a great job on your dress and you look absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations to you and your husband.❀️

  27. You did well to get your wedding outfit for such a good price – especially when some brides spend thousands of pounds just on a dress!!! Lovely lovely video and I'm really happy for you and your young chap 😊

  28. Such a beautiful outfit for a beautiful lady. (LUV those sandels- I too have very wide feet so thanks for the tip.) What a beautiful bride and yes, bolt cutters are definitely a 'must have' in current wedding trends. LOL! πŸ˜€

  29. Oh Congratulations, albeit belated. Our wedding was also done on a budget but i regret nothing. We both looked great, the registry office was a beautiful old building and we had a lovely small after party at my inlaws on their large bacony in the treetops overlooking the local bushland and birdlife. Weddings dont have to cost a fortune to be memorable and beautiful.
    Tfs 🌹

  30. What a wonderful vid or vlog or whatever you youngsters call them. Ha! I will be 65 in August and I think your outfit was beautiful, your son is also a doll. I met Brian in some of the cane video's I've just discovered. I also saw your new husband and you've picked (or he's picked) a great partner and I wish you both all the happiness this life has to offer. I agree with you that the South is better than the North. (I live in Jacksonville, FL) Oh, after mentioning US I'd better apologize for our president. I do that for all non US people. I assure you, he was not my idea at ALL! I'm learning so much about my new hobby from you. I watch all the other tutorials but I do so love your sense of humor. I also love you hair. Mine is very short also. Well, it's saturday so I plan to get out and shop for some bolt cutters…see ya!

  31. Oh my, what an idiot I am!! Brandon, not Brian. Please forgive, I have trouble with my own kids' names at this point! And again, I totally apologize for our president. I figured while I was apologizing, you know.

  32. lol, so you might have gone to the Playboy Mansion after the wedding. The shoes matched the dress perfectly and look like they kept our comfy as well as pretty. hahaha, I kept laughing with your sweet video. yup those cutters are every bride's number one accessory. Lovely video. I just subscribed. xo Thank you so very much for the visit. Wishing you a wonderful evening, xo Marta

  33. I was thinking the bold cutters were for getting the ball and chain on lol your outfit was lovely. I did better than you on both my wedding days lol price wise I mean. Won’t talk about the first wedding…!!! but the wedding to my Manchester born hubby who I’m still married to 27 years later! Didn’t cost much at all, I made everything from my headdress my dress, my flowers etc etc. I bought my undies and shoes of course, shoes had 4inch heels as I’m 4ft 11 so shoes were the most expensive thing as I had to send overseas for them (no internet then!) I only take a size two and a half shoe, that’s why I had to send off for them lol thankfully now I live in boots or trainers!
My going away outfit, I made myself! In ending my book, I will say yes we are the same age, this year being bus pass year lol when is yours, mine is September Huggles xxxAnnxxx

  34. In the US we say every bride should have "something old, something, new, something borrowed, and something blue." I'm changing that for you: "Something flowered, somethings new, a set of bolt-cutters, and big wide shoes." πŸ™‚

  35. You are so sweet. I really appreciate everything about you. Don't change anything, you are perfect just as you are.
