The Royal Wedding Choir Performs For Steve Harvey

The Royal Wedding Choir Performs For Steve Harvey

– Over two billion people
all around the world watched my next guest perform at Prince Harry and Meghan
Markle’s royal wedding. Their new cd, “Stand by
Me” drops in November. Joining us live via video chat all the way from London, please welcome choir director Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir. (audience applause) Hey (laughing) Hey, what’s up? What’s up y’all? – Hey!
– [Steve] I see you. Yeah. Man I see y’all. Y’all I see y’all, alright. Y’all TV stars now, huh? (laughing) Hey Karen, how did you end up performing for the royal wedding? – Well there was a young lady
who used to be in the choir several years ago and she knew somebody who worked for Prince Charles. – You couldn’t tell
anybody about this, why? – [Karen] Because it was, we were sworn to secrecy, basically. So even I couldn’t. When I found out, I couldn’t
tell the choir members. So I just had to ring them up and say, are you available on this date? This date, are you available? I can’t tell you why,
(laughing) but are you available? – [Steve] Hold it, wait. – Please make yourself available. – [Steve] Oh, wait. So you, let me get this straight. – [Karen] Yeah. – You went to a group of black people, (laughing and applause) and you, I’m asking … And you told them, we gonna do something, we got to be somewhere, I can’t tell you where, but can you go? – [Karen] Yeah, yeah, exactly that. – Lady, lady they must love you. – [Choir] Yeah! (applause) – [Steve] They must love you.
(audience applause) I’m holding up your album. I want you tell everybody–
– [Karen] Yup. – about your new cd cause y’all, now y’all did perform at the wedding y’all just dropping albums now. (laughing) – [Karen] That’s right. – [Steve] Now we just dropping albums. (audience applause)
(laughing) – [Karen] Yeah, yeah. Yeah we are and it’s a real blessing. So the album is called “Stand by Me” and it’s gonna be out November the second and you’re gonna hear “Stand by Me” on it. You’re gonna hear the next song on it. And some other lovely songs
that you might just know. (audience applause) – Hey so let me ask you something’. Will you be giving us a little preview and sing something for us? – [Karen] Oh, yes. (audience applause) – [Steve] Well, they gonna set it up. Here to perform “Amen,” the
arrangement by Etta James, give it up for The Kingdom Choir. And we’ll see y’all tomorrow, everybody. (audience applause) Come on y’all, let’s do it. (audience applause and cheering) (lively piano music) (finger snaps on beat) ♪-[Choir] Amen. ♪ ♪ Amen. ♪ ♪ Amen, ♪ ♪ amen, ♪ ♪ amen. ♪ ♪ Amen. ♪

  1. Steve what I love about u is that your an emotional person and that is what I love about you very humble and appreciative. Representing from Ja big up Steve

  2. People always want to minimize anything black people are doing especially if it's positive or something that they don't understand or particularly care for. Yes there are thousands of black choirs all over the world who can sing, but this choir was chosen to sing at the Royal Wedding and is now internationally known. Why because they are talented, amazing and a step above. We need to start giving people their due and stop making what they do small, when in fact it is great!

  3. Dog. Iโ€™d wondered for some time how his wife puts up with his endless nasty flirting and obvious disregard of respect for a his wife.

  4. the singing was great and all but it seems like that is all they expect black folks to do is sing and dance but when President Obama was in office there were so many haters and now we have Trump who is disgusting….IMHO

  5. After living in the UK for 7 years while obtaining my PhD and working, I didnโ€™t have the best time and honestly for a few English people but mostly international and fellow Americans, I was very disappointed with my experience. The day of this wedding Harry, Megan and this choir made me long for and reconsider moving back to the U.S. after I found out I had been awarded my PhD. So proud of this group, I support them and canโ€™t wait to hear more.

  6. Hallelujah. To God be the glory. Amen. I was blessed from that heavenly singing. Mr Harvey love the beard๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„

  10. I like everything Steve wears, He's classy all the time.
His Beard would look nicer if he used Just for Men.
    He still looks very young!

  11. Wow really felt that! Amen let your light shine always!! 6 months prego and I was crying, snapping, and singing along. They sing from the heart for real!! God is Good๐Ÿ’™

  12. Psalm 95:1-2: Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

  14. Look at this Harvey hypocrite โ€” heโ€™s always pairing same-race couples on his show (never interracial couples) โ€” and now heโ€™s celebrating the choir who performed at the lovely (biracial) Duchess Meghan Markleโ€™s wedding.

  15. When i watched this choir sing at Prince Harryโ€™s and Meghanโ€™s wedding, i felt the holy chills run through me from head to toe and this performance here gave me the same reaction. Powerful, spiritual, uplifting. God Bless the UK Choir and may they continue to be annoited and blessed by the almighty God. Amen!โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

  16. What people don't realise is a lot of black Americans migrated originally from the Carribean. They brought the gospel choir traddition with them. There is off course already a black American traddition directly from Africa but the Carribeans migrated later already spoke English and were stepped in the Scottish evangelical gospel traddition. In other words black people added to the mix. American music is basically southern black music.
